Olive oil is extracted from the fruits of the olive plant. This plant is common in the Mediterranean. Its oil is used with food and is also used highly for it’s vast medicinal attributes. It contains a host of powerful antioxidants that help prevent it from undergoing oxidation and become rancid. Heat exposure damages the molecular structure hence it’s added on food on the plate. It’s rich in antioxidants such as vitamin E and polyphenols.
